Department of Physical Education, Srikrishna College, Bagula.

Located in Bagula, Hanskhali, the Department of Physical Education at Srikrishna College began its journey in the academic year 2003-04 with the affiliation of B.A. (General) under the University of Kalyani. Initially starting with 50 students, the enrollment strength has increased to 267 students to meet subject demand. The department upgraded to the Choice Based Credit System from the 2018-19 academic session, allowing students to select from core, elective, skill enhancement, or ability enhancement courses. Additionally, honours students can choose physical education as a generic elective subject.

The department aims to produce students equipped with theoretical and practical knowledge for performance in games, sports, and higher education. Infrastructural facilities include a multi-gym, an outdoor badminton court, a 200-metre track, a football ground, basketball, handball, kabaddi, kho-kho, volleyball, and netball grounds, alongside a separate enriched stack in the college central library. Eight faculty members support the students, comprising one permanent assistant professor, four SACT teachers, two part-time physical instructors, and one part-time gym instructor.

Students have participated in inter-college, district, state, university, national, and international levels, including the South Asian Games and All India University meets.
