About Payalk

Payalk is a small set of free tools for people making videos on YouTube in India. There is no company behind it and no funding round. It exists because the tools that already existed were built for somebody else's market.

Why this site was built

Almost every YouTube calculator online works from American advertising rates and converts the answer to rupees at the end. That overstates Indian earnings by a wide margin, and a creator planning around those numbers is planning around fiction.

The same problem runs through tag and hashtag tools. Most of them rearrange the words you typed and present the result as a recommendation. They have no idea what is actually working on YouTube in India this week.

How the tools work

Every day these tools read the videos trending on YouTube India across each category using the official YouTube Data API, and record the tags, view counts and engagement behind them. That record is what the tag and hashtag suggestions draw on.

Nothing here scrapes YouTube or works around its terms. Everything comes from the public API, which is why the tools are stable and free to use without an account.

What is honest about the numbers

Earnings figures are estimates presented as ranges, because that is what they are. Real RPM moves with the season, audience location, video length and ad load, and anyone quoting a single exact number is guessing.

Where we cite our own data, we say how large the sample is and what it is drawn from. Trending videos are not a random sample of Indian channels, and we say so rather than dressing the figures up.

Creators researching a topic before they publish, creators deciding between Shorts and long-form, and anyone evaluating a channel before a collaboration. If you are none of those, the tools are still free.
