Kalari Kovilakom

Kalari Kovilakom by CGH Earth Ayurveda is situated near Kollangode in the Palghat District of North Kerala, fringed by the Western Ghat mountain ranges. Housed in a 200-year-old palace originally belonging to the Vengunad chieftains, the property blends history and natural tranquility. The CGH Earth Group converted this heritage site into a traditional Ayurvedic treatment centre and hospital, which is certified and accredited by the NABH. The property features 19 well-appointed rooms with modern amenities and a clinic with 12 treatment rooms, surrounded by gardens that complement the healing process.

The centre focuses on traditional Ayurvedic healing through the eliminative process known as Shodana. Programmes available include complete detox, stress management, weight management, immunity boosting, and treatments for specific ailments and conditions. Mindfulness, awareness, and a therapeutic engagement of the senses form core parts of the healing experience. Additionally, cultural programmes such as classical dance and Carnatic music performances using traditional Indian instruments are an essential part of the daily routine at Kalari Kovilakom, continuing the artistic patronage of the erstwhile Vengunad kings.
