Mongrace Montessori House

Mongrace Montessori House is a preschool located at Short Street, Park Street, Kolkata, established in 1964 by Ms. Monjushree Chatterjee and Ms. Grace Wasim Pina. The management was later taken over by the Suresh Amiya Memorial Trust in 1984. The institution aims to guide children during their formative years through structured early education programmes.

The preschool offers a range of services including Montessori education, a day care centre, and seasonal summer camps where children participate in outdoor activities. Over the years, the institution has expanded its reach, opening a branch with a day care centre at Rajarhat, New Town, Kolkata on April 15, 2010, alongside branches in locations such as Vasant Vihar in New Delhi and Santiniketan. The faculty engages in continuous learning, including mental health skills training with clinical psychologists.

The organisation has received recognition, including a Quality Audit Certificate from the Early Childhood Association and the International Dimension in Schools certificate for the period 2020-2023. Children participate in various cultural and musical activities, such as Christmas musicals, and are introduced to languages like French through collaborations with Alliance Francaise du Bengal.
