Shankar Prasad Ashram Foundation

Shankar Prasad Ashram Foundation operates in the Satyananda Yoga tradition of the Bihar School of Yoga. Situated in a century-old heritage home on two and a half acres of organic farmland and coconut grove at Bankikodla village near Gokarna, the ashram is run as an open spiritual family. The foundation is shaped by daily practice, selfless service, and simple sattvic living, with guests sharing in the life of the house and the farm.

Founded by Swami Yogaratna Saraswati, who has over forty years of experience as a sannyasin, the studio offers daily drop-in classes, retreats throughout the year, and various courses. Offerings include Yoga Nidra, Yoga Nidra as Therapy, Advanced Yoga Nidra, teacher training programs, meditations from the tantras, kundalini yoga, and conscious dying courses. Visitors can participate in asana and pranayama practices, weekly mantra chanting, and weekly havan fire ceremonies.

Payment options available at the ashram include UPI and Google Pay. Visitors can come for a single class, a retreat, or a longer stay involving seva and sadhana, with all rates including a room, sattvic meals, and all sessions.
