The Little Republic

The Little Republic is a preschool and kindergarten facility situated in Jawahar Nagar, Thiruvananthapuram. Established in 2013, the institution operates on the belief that play is serious work, developing a skill-based approach where children get ready to learn, thrive, and face the world through carefully chosen curated experiences. The educational model emphasizes child-centered and experiential learning, acknowledging that each child is unique, possesses individual strengths, learns at a personal pace, and grows into an independent personality.

The curriculum incorporates an international perspective with partners around the world helping to integrate the latest developments in child education. The methodology relies on providing real, meaningful, interesting, and relevant experiences using simple materials and open-ended learning that crosses multiple subject areas. Interaction serves as a key accelerator, facilitating peer learning through active classroom chatter while facilitators use open-ended questions to guide children's thinking in multiple directions. Safety and care remain central priorities, with educators creating a home away from home environment designed to help children learn faster and thrive.
